Dixie's Land and Phylogeny were both performed at this prestigious, invitation-only music conference, held each year in Chicago. Memorable performances of these two works were given by the Allen High School Orchestra (David DeVoto, director), and the Marcus High School Percussion Ensemble (Dr. Robert Schietroma, conductor; Keenan Wylie, director). |

Shoot for the Moon
Adler Planetarium

Bob Rogers and his team at BRC Imagination Arts created over 5,000 square feet of interactive exhibits and simulations for Shoot for the Moon at the Adler Planetarium. David Kneupper composed music for Lunar Dangers, directed by the one-of-a-kind Craig Bartlett (Hey Arnold!). Lunar Dangers is a humorous special effects presentation on the hazardous science of moon exploration, and is appropriately narrated by Apollo 13 astronaut Jim Lovell. |

David Kneupper and Super78 founder Brent Young teamed up to create this powerful 270-degree museum theater experience. A wrap-around film and 3D sound transports audiences to an era when giant, prehistoric creatures roamed the ground we walk on today. |

Premiere: New Work for Concert Band
Commissioned
by Anthony, Matthew and John Gibson for the Allen
High School Symphonic Band, this new single-movement band work by David
Kneupper will be based on two musical sources: the Philip Bliss hymn, “It
Is Well With My Soul” (1876), and Thurland Chattaway’s, “Red
Wing” (1907). Thursday, February 9, 2006, Lowery Auditorium, Allen,

High School Escadrille Marching Band will march in the 2006 Tournament of Roses Parade in
Pasadena, CA, performing a new arrangement by David Kneupper of the
American folksong classic, The Yellow Rose
of Texas. The Tournament of Roses Parade is broadcast live
on 10 networks: ABC, CBS, NBC, HGTV, Tribune, Univision, Telemundo,
Travel Channel, Discovery HD Theater and Sky Link TV. Monday, January
