Premiere: David Gaschen LIVE with the Lubbock Symphony
Orchestra

Currently
in the Broadway cast of Phantom of the Opera,
singer David
Gaschen premiered music from his latest CD with the
Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, Kenneth Raskin, conducting. This stunning
song collection was co-produced, arranged and conducted by David Kneupper,
and performed by the Northwest Sinfonia Orchestra, Seattle. The
music was engineered by accomplished film scoring mixer Michael
Farrow (Kinsey,
Collateral, The Alamo), with vocals recorded by Mon Ping Kuo at
Uptime Studios in NYC. David
Gaschen, a native of Lubbock Texas,
has performed the role of the Phantom over 1100 times in Switzerland,
Germany and Broadway.

June 2005
Premiere: Waves for String Orchestra, LIVE at the
USS Bowfin Memorial, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
Commissioned by Mike Wells and
the Kempner High School Orchestra, this new work by David Kneupper for
string orchestra was premiered June 6, 2005 at the USS Bowfin Memorial
at Pearl Harbor on Oahu. Composed especially for this occasion, Waves is
an 8-minute, single-movement work that draws its inspiration from the
motion of waves. |

The History Channel's High Tech Lincoln
David Kneupper appeared in the History Channel documentary, High
Tech Lincoln, which showcases the groundbreaking, 200,000 square-foot Abraham Lincoln
Presidential Library and Museum. Featuring
museum creator Bob Rogers and the talented team from BRC Imagination
Arts, this 50-minute program explores how the presentation of historical
archives is enhanced through the use of state-of-the-art technology. With
comments from author Gore Vidal and museum director Richard Norton
Smith, this is a remarkable look at an institution that, in Smith's
words, "dwarfs
anything that exists." Available on DVD from The

Susie Glaze’s “Blue Eyed Darlin”
Folk singer Susie Glaze’s
latest CD, Blue Eyed Darlin’,
features a string arrangement by David Kneupper for the Rob Carlson
song, The River Road. An amazing, soulful artist, Susie
Glaze has been deeply influenced by folk legend Jean Ritchie.

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library
and Museum
The
Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum opened in April 2005
in Springfield, IL, featuring over three hours of music created by David
Kneupper. The Museum was designed and created by Bob Rogers and the
amazing team at BRC Imagination Arts,
and combines impeccable scholarship with brilliant showmanship. Featuring
two theater shows and over 40,000 square feet of exhibit space, this
project educates visitors of all ages about the life, times and historical
importance of the 16th President of the United States. The diverse
soundtrack created for the Museum was composed for orchestra, chorus
and string band, and was all based on music originally published
in the United States between 1811 and 1874. For more on this music, click

TimeRiders
David
Kneupper was composer, sound supervisor and mixer on the high-energy
animated ride film, TimeRiders starring John
Cleese. Debuting
in March 2005 at Movie
Park Germany the TimeRiders project
involved long-time Kneupper Music collaborators, writer and director
David Weiss and producer Jon Corfino of Attraction
Media and Entertainment.
The film featured high-end animation by the Academy Award-nominated Blur,
and sound design by Pete Lehman. |

U.S.
Pavilion, World Expo 2005
Featuring
a new original score by David Kneupper and attraction design by the celebrated
BRC Imagination Arts, March 2005 saw the unveiling of the U.S.
Pavilion at World Expo 2005 in
Aichi, Japan. The 23,000 square foot U.S. facility showcases The
Franklin Spirit, a powerful multimedia presentation hosted by U.S.
statesman Benjamin Franklin on his 300th birthday. |
