David Gaschen (2005)
Currently in the Broadway cast of Phantom of the Opera, with 1,100 performances in the role of the Phantom, David Gaschen has a voice of amazing subtlety and power. This quality is abundantly evident in these two selections from his latest CD. Co-produced, arranged and conducted by David Kneupper, the music was recorded in Seattle, New York and Los Angeles, and engineered by accomplished film scoring mixer Michael Farrow (Kinsey, Collateral, The Alamo).

To capture the tragedy of Gettysburg in music, the two iconic songs of the North and South – Battle Hymn of the Republic and Dixie’s Land – grind together in a single piece of music by David Kneupper. In the Museum, this music accompanies a 50-foot mural of the battle of Gettysburg by painter Keith Rocco.
